Kiran Bedi (born 9 June 1949) is a retired Indian Police Service officer, social activist, former tennis player and politician from India. She is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1972.^[2] She remained in service for 35 years before taking voluntary retirement in 2007 as Director General, Bureau of Police Research and Development.

I have predicted on 10 January 2014 that she would be getting recognistion and get respectable position between 2015 to 2016  and its come true on 23 May 2016 .

Yesterday she has been  appointed as  Lt .Governor of Puducherry .
